Aim: How can we pick the best logo design from our sketches and begin to design it?

Thursday, SWBAT design and choose the best logo for their sports team

Aim: How can we pick the best logo design from our sketches and begin to design it?

Do Now: Get ready to share out some of your sketches for the class to see. (1 min.)

Materials:
• Class blog, Macs
• Construction paper
• Markers
• Paper, pens
Procedures:
1.)
First turn and talk to the person sitting next to you and share your sketches.
Partners- help your partner by helping them pick the best design for their team.

Share Out: Let’s have a few people share some of their sketches so we can help them pick the best one.

2.)
Mini-Lesson: Tonight, you will have to scan your final logo design on your scanner, (if you have one) and turn it into a jPeg.

You will then have to e-mail that final logo to yourself, so tomorrow you can manipulate it into a Powerpoint, along with some text explaining the idea behind your team.

If you don’t have a scanner at home, please see me before the end of class to make an alternative arrangement for your final project.

Please click on the link and read the instructions about how you can easily scan your final LOGO TONIGHT and then e-mail to yourself so you can finish the project tonight. (3-5 min.)

You can, of course access the blog tonight to help you at home.

Are there any questions about scanning your logo tonight?

(5 min.)
3.)
Independent Practice: Spend the rest of today using my supplies to design a final sketch that you can scan for tonight. I have construction paper, markers, scissors, and some other supplies. (20-25 min.)

4.)
Summary/Homework: Don’t forget to scan your logo, turn it into a JPEG. And e-mail it to yourself for tomorrow.
